Interview of Naveen Kumar Jindal: Delhi, the national capital of India, is all set to witness the Vidhan Sabha poll. The 2025 Delhi Legislative Assembly election is scheduled for 5 February, and results will be announced on 8 February. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are the main contenders!
Congress and AAP have ruled the state, but the BJP has not been so lucky yet! To discuss this political setup, journalist Anurag Sason has an in-depth conversation with veteran journalist and ex-Delhi BJP media head Naveen Kumar Jindal.
Here are important excerpts from the exclusive interview of Mr Naveen Kumar Jindal. Scroll down to watch the full conversation in Hindi.
Q1) Will the Bharti Janta Party be able to form government in Delhi?
Naveen Kumar Jindal: The people of Delhi are tired of false promises made by Arvind Kejriwal. In the past 10 years, Delhi has converted into a slum. This time, the BJP will form a government with a handsome majority.
Q2) Why BJP fails to come to power in the national capital of India?
Naveen Kumar Jindal: Delhi has a mixed population; it is an urban state where middle-class and upper-middle-class people are not using their voting rights to the full extent.
Those who are living in slum areas or are from the Muslim community, fully use their voting rights. This is the biggest drawback for the BJP. But now, whether it’s the health infrastructure, education, or transportation, all sectors are suffering, and the masses are aware of this. That’s why, this time, people will seek change.
Q3) How do you see the politics of Delhi?
Naveen Kumar Jindal: Compared to other states, politics in Delhi is different. Here, people don’t vote based on caste. But, votes should be cast on development, and those who want to cast their votes on development are not using their rights completely.
Q4) In Delhi, which party has worked better Congress or AAP?
Naveen Kumar Jindal: The Aam Aadmi Party has done no work whatsoever. It has done only corruption. And whatever work the Congress party had done, it was fully wrapped in corruption.
Q5) Are all political parties corrupt?

Q7) There has been a heated debate over the functioning of EVMs. Your remarks on this.
Naveen Kumar Jindal: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has openly invited people to come and point out faults in EVM, if any! Still, no one has been able to prove anything.
When the opposition fails to find any corruption charges (against the Modi government), they raise such questions.
Q8) Mr Naveen Kumar Jindal are you planning to join mainstream politics again?
Naveen Kumar Jindal: I left the media industry and joined politics. BJP has given me a lot. Soon, I will be back and will work for the benefit of India.
