MP Poll 2023: Madhya Pradesh assembly elections are around the corner. On the one hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not leaving any stone unturned to retain the power. On the other hand, the Congress party is putting full efforts to come back to power. To talk about the political activities in the state, journalist Anurag Sasan has an in-depth and exclusive conversation with BJP Madhya Pradesh spokesperson Dr Gulrez Sheikh.

Q1) For the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, the Congress party has released its first list of candidates. Your reaction.

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: The list is full of nepotism. It has the names of sons and daughters of politicians. It is full of corrupt leaders. Digvijay Singh and his supporters have got most of the tickets.

This list is very bad. Votes are repelling. This list has ensured that the BJP is winning.

Q3) Shivraj Singh Chauhan will remain the CM face?

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: Shivraj Singh Chauhan was the CM. He is the CM. And the party will take care of him.

Q4) Lok Sabha Election 2024 is inching closer. How the BJP will perform?

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: In Lok Sabha Election 2024, lotus will bloom and Modi ji will become Prime Minister for the third time. India will become the third-largest economy in the world. As far as the Madhya Pradesh state is concerned, we will be winning all the (Lok Sabha) seats.

Q5) Does the INDIA alliance pose no threat to the NDA?

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: The INDIA alliance is fighting within themselves. It is nothing but just a political gimmick.

Q6) Any comment on Mr Rahul Gandhi?

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: I don’t understand why you people talk about Rahul Gandhi. We should talk about someone who has some caliber. Why waste time while talking about him?

Q7) Your comments on the foreign policies of the BJP.

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: The world has moved towards a multipolar world, and we are also a part of it. We are getting stronger day by day. India’s interest is paramount.

Q8) In the Israeli–Palestinian war, which country do you support?

Dr Gulrez Sheikh: I am a nationalist. I fully support the Government of India’s stand in In Israel–Palestinian war.
