Gyanvapi mosque row: Here’s WHY Mughal emperor Aurangzeb destroyed Shiva temple | Anurag Sason

Gyanvapi mosque is encircled in controversy. It is being said that it was constructed on the ruins of a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva by Raja Todar Mal. Claims are being made that the temple was destroyed by the sixth emperor of the Mughal empire, Aurangzeb. Reportedly, in 1669, the temple was destroyed and a mosque was built in its place . However, a question arises that why the Mughal emperor decimated the temple? Was it religious intolerance (as it is being popularly believed)? Or there was some other reason? Know the truth of Gyanvapi Mosque of Banaras: Was there a Shiva Temple? | Anurag Sason

What is the truth behind the Gyanvapi mosque? Is it built on the ruins of an ancient Shiva temple? Yes, it is! Reportedly, the temple was built between 1575 and 1600 by Raja Todar Mal. He was one of the nine navratnas of Mughal emperor Akbar. It is being said that around 1669, Mughal emperor Aurangzeb destroyed the temple and ordered the construction of a mosque. The mosque derived its name from Gyan Vapi well (means well of knowledge) which is located adjacent to it in Banaras city of Uttar Pradesh. While flying in a MI 17 helicopter, first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat met with an accident in Coonoor city of Tamil Nadu on December 8, 2021. Ministry of Civil Aviation notifies liberalised Drone Rules, 2021: 30 key features

Aviation (MoCA) published the UAS Rules, 2021.  They were perceived by academia, Startups, end-users and other stakeholders as being restrictive in nature as they involved considerable paperwork, required permissions for every drone flight and very few “free to fly” green zones were available. Based on the feedback, the Government has decided to repeal the UAS Rules, 2021 and replace the same with the liberalised Drone Rules, 2021.
