Classical Hatha Yoga: Sadhguru Gurukulam concludes 15-day yoga training for defence personnel

Classical Hatha Yoga: New Delhi, April 6: In Coimbatore, at the Isha Yoga Center, the 15-day Classical Hatha Yoga “Train the Trainer” program for Indian Defence Forces by Sadhguru Gurukulam concluded on Monday.

The batch comprised 99 defence personnel (78 from the Indian Navy and 21 from the Indian Army). They have now completed the intensive training and are prepared to take these practices to fellow personnel at their respective defence stations.

The program began on March 23 and concluded on April 6. It offered participants a strict immersion in classical yogic practices such as Upa Yoga, Surya Kriya, Angamardana, and Inner Engineering Online. The focus was on personal transformation, inner balance, and the ability to share these tools within the defence forces.

The endeavor reflects Sadhguru’s vision of making the ancient science of classical hatha yoga available to the nation’s defence forces, who dedicate their lives to safeguarding the country.

Yoga as powerful inner technology

Officers who took part in the program said the training enabled them to experience yoga as a powerful inner technology that enhances physical strength, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

Visit to Isha Vidhya school and ashram tour

Participants also visited an Isha Vidhya school and toured the ashram. At the Isha Yoga Center, they also spent time in the consecrated spaces of Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi Devi, and the Teerthkunds.

700 defence personnel trained

So far, the program has been offered to more than 700 defence personnel. This underlines a growing effort to support the well-being and inner strength of those serving the nation.
