The zest for drones is increasing in India. It is not as much as in western countries (thanks to their liberalised drone policies). However, still slowly and gradually craze for drones in India is growing too either for professional purposes or personal recreational activities.

Lately, the Government of India (GOI) has come up with a less restrictive drone policy which will further push this trend. The central government has decided to repeal the UAS Rules, 2021 and replace the same with the liberalised Drone Rules, 2021. The GOI believes that India has the potential to be a global drone hub by 2030.

If we talk about drones the first name which comes to our mind is DJI- a Chinese technology company that manufactures commercial drones for aerial photography and videography. It also designs and manufactures camera gimbals, action cameras, camera stabilizers, flight platforms, propulsion systems and flight control systems.

According to reports, as of March 2020, DJI accounts for around 70% of the world’s consumer drone market with no other company accounting for more than 5%. Its camera drone technology is extensively used in the music, television, news and film industries.

One of the latest products of the company is Mavic Mini 2 drone. With a 4K camera and good flight time, the gadget provides some mesmerising videos and still photos. The drone is very stable even during windy conditions so that you can get perfect shots.

I (journalist Anurag Sason) have done a review of the DJI Mavic Mini 2 drone. Watch it to know everything about the product.
