Single-use plastic items will be banned in India from July 1, 2022. The country will ban the manufacture, stocking, distribution, import, sale, and use of identified single-use plastic items, said the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, on Tuesday. These are those items that are used once and then thrown away. These are considered to be one the biggest sources of plastic pollution in not only India but in the world.
