With Russian forces on the outskirts of Kyiv (capital city of Ukraine), the Russia-Ukraine crisis has reached almost climax.
America is “indirectly” helping Ukraine via countries like Romania and Slovakia. Uncle Sam is sending arms and ammunition through these countries to Ukraine so that it can fight against the Russian invasion.
It is pertinent to mention that Romania and Slovakia are part of The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). In total, NATO is a group of 30 countries including the US and the UK.
Interestingly, Russia has made it clear that these convoys of arms and ammunition are “legitimate targets” for the Russian army. So if Russia attacks these convoys while they are in Romania and Slovakia…technically (as per the USA) it will be an attack on NATO.
US President Joe Biden has already made it clear that he will protect “every inch” of NATO territories.
