In June 2016, exactly 3 years after the Kedarnath Flash Floods, I visited Kedarnath valley in Uttarakhand.
I wanted to witness the amount of destruction, the plight of people myself. And…trust me, it is something which I don’t want anyone of us witness again in future.
According to figures provided by the Uttarakhand government, as of 16 July 2013, more than 5,700 people were “presumed dead”. This figure included 934 local residents.
